Yes, all these manufacturing/RFQ bits are completely possible in companies today (and perhaps already done where you work), but they’re bits that have been spread out in all sorts of inefficient directions. Xometry is simply introducing a consolidated, efficient approach to getting your parts DONE. It’s something manufacturing has needed for a long time. I think I’m even more surprised it hasn’t happened until now.
One thing Xometry does need with this addition (and suspect it’s coming) is a link between parts I’ve already uploaded for manufacturing RFQ and the finishing RFQ. Currently, I need to upload the model to have each quoted.
